Dr Augustine Tawiah

Dr. Augustine Tawiah was selected from among a number of prospective candidates for the position of President (Principal)to succeed Dr. S. B. Obeng.
One of the preachers trained by Dr. Obeng took over from him as the second black principal of the Ghana Bible College in 2002. Dr. Augustine Tawiah was selected from among a number of prospective candidates for the position of President (Principal)to succeed Dr. S. B. Obeng. He also succeeded in raising some funds from the United States to develop the manpower needs of the College. During his term of office, he secured funding from the Concord Road Church of Christ in Tennessee, U.S.A. to sponsor seven faculty and administrative staff members to further their education to improve the human resource capacity of the College. Upon realization that continuous external and local churches funding were dwindling and could not be sustainable, he approached the College’s sponsors to raise funds to initiate an endowment for the College. Fortunately,the Concord Road Church of Christ provided the initial seed money of US$56,000. This was followed with substantial donation US$500,000 from the Lakeview Church of Christ in Texas to build up build up the College’s endowment. Dr. Tawiah retired as the President of the College in 2012.
